YVN (Yarra View Nursery), are known as the one stop shop, with an extensive range of plants grown in their production facilities or distributed through them from other specialist growers. A great resource for the country garden centre YVN reps call on a regular basis to display the quality product available from the nursery. From tubestock to indoor plants YVN's range is comprehensive meeting our customers needs -planting schedules quoted and filled as well as contract growing.
In May 2001 Knoxbrooke purchased Yarra View Nursery and Yarra View Horticultural Services from St. John of God Services who had run them since the early 1980's. In 1995 St. John of God Services moved the nursery from Wonga Park to it's present location at 136 York Rd. Mt. Evelyn. The Horticulture businesses now employ approx 130 people. A major redevelopment of the site occurred in 2007 nearly doubling the growing capacity. This has resulted in a secure employment environment for people with a disability who work for the organisation.
Since Knoxbrooke bought Yarra View Nurseries in 2001 they have developed by incorporating the businesses of Ridge roses, Ferndale ferns and Blue wren fuchsias into the operations. Yarra View Nursery have formed an alliance with Austraflora natives to grow their range of natives.
The nursery provides skills training and personal development for the employees in a supportive workplace.
Knoxcare provide employment and training to people with and without a disability. The business provides many opportunities for employment for the knoxbrooke community The workers with a disAbility in the employment services are supervised by team leaders which the organisation receives funding for from the Federal government department –Family Housing and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. The people with a disAbility who work in the teams are paid under an ‘Employer Based Agreement’ which is in place between Knoxcare and the workers. Assesment of workers wages is by independant assesors who measure production and competence to determine a percentage of the award as the individuals wage.
The organisation holds current Disability Support certification accreditation to provide services in a supported employment environment to people with a disAblity Knoxbrooke has gained quality accreditation under AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 for its Knoxcare businesses.Certificate No. QEC14656 Expiry Date: 1 October 2010 Yarra View is a member of the Nursery Industry Association of Victoria.

Knoxbrooke Industries evolved from vocational programs running at the ATSS. In the 1990’s the organisation started employment for people with a disability under the Knoxbrooke Industries banner.
Knoxbrooke Industries provide packaging and light assembly to industry. Labour intensive large volume packaging and assembly work by our specialist and competent staff allows industry to concentrate on their area of expertise.
Knoxbrooke Industries holds ISO 9001-2000 accreditation using systems that are compliant with the requirements of the motor vehicle assembly industry.
Current customers include Polyfoam Australia, Dare industries, Frontier industries, Dollar Sweets, Domtex Linen, Queen Cleaning and many other well known enterprises. .

In May 2001 Knoxbrooke purchased the Yarra View Nursery Retail outlet along with the wholesale business on the same site. The name was changed in the same year and the nursery separated from the wholesale operation with a manager appointed to run the business. The nursery has developed slowly providing an outlet for plants grown at YVN. The nursery provides employment and training/education opportunities.
During 2006/07 a major redevelopment of the site has seen the garden centre move into a new position separated from the wholesale business. New displays, garden ideas and a fresh approach is providing customers with an exciting and stimulating shopping experience. The landscaping and design service is located on site to discuss your garden needs and provide advice on garden makeovers . All of our staff are passionate gardeners who have turned their passion into a career- come in and share your gardening experiences.
For customers who do not have time to spend in the garden we provide professional garden maintenance and construction through our Garden Work crews.
Our Landscaping crews were winners of a Gold award for their design and construction of 'The bridge' display garden at Gardening Australia live Melbourne 2005. Working with the SaveWater alliance have constructed their stand at the Melbourne international Flower and Garden Show for the past 3 years

A diverse range of employment is offered in the work crews from general garden and lawn maintenance for domestic and commercial customers to large garden makeovers and exhibition display gardens. The work teams have been involved in Gardening Australia Live Melbourne in 2004 and 2005 winning a certificate of merit for the 2004 display and Gold medal for the 2005 garden. At Gardening Australia live the crews built Peter Cundalls display vegie Patch and cuisine gardens for the cooking demonstrations. At the Melbourne International Flower and garden Show in 2006 the crews constructed the SaveWater retail display site which won a silver medal. In 2007 again constructing the SaveWater display winning the premiers award for best watersaving display. In 2008 with the SaveWater alliance winning a Bronze medal.

Two lawn & garden maintenance crews were moved initially from Wonga Park to Churinga services Greensborough, then in 1998 moved to Yarra View site in York Road Mt. Evelyn, from where they provide lawn mowing and garden care for both small commercial and domestic customers.
The garden Services have changed there name and moved into the area of Landscaping.
